Installation: The power of water, the promise anew
Fonts at the Church Entrance
By Eric Buechel
In quiet grace, the entrance stands, A sacred
space, where faith expands, With gentle ripples, crystal clear,
The holy water beckons near.
A symbol of purity, a cleansing rite, It washes away the shadows of night.
Each drop a blessing, each splash a prayer, A moment of stillness,
a breath of the air.
As fingers dip in, a touch divine, The faithful gather, their spirits align. In
humble reverence, hearts open wide, With holy water, their worries subside.
Each entry marked, a journey begins, With every sign of the cross, the soul
gently spins. A connection to heaven, a whisper of grace, In the church’s
embrace, we find our place.
So let us remember, as we pass through, The power of water, the promise
anew. In the church entrance fonts, our spirits are stirred, In sacred communion,
we find the Word.
